For a long time, there was only one page registered in the category of dam goods, so I decided it was about time to improve it and chose the second one, a collection of dam photos entitled "To Those Who Love Dams. This is a photo book co-authored by Hisa-san (Akune-san), Ryu-kun, and myself, after being asked by Miyajima-san in 2014.
I had dreamed of having a book published since I was in elementary school, and I remember how happy I was when I received the offer because my dream had really come true. However, it was my first experience, so of course I was anxious and also scared of the mystery of getting my book out into the world.
When I was in elementary school, our principal at the time had a slogan, "Let's write the one and only book in the world," and we students would write many sentences, bind them ourselves, and put them in the class library. This was a one-time project, but it was so interesting that I continued to publish books in my class after that. I still have a copy of the book, but I can't show it to you now that I read it again. (I'll just post a photo of the cover.)
It was a dream that I had had for a long time that suddenly came true, and I remember having a lot of fun at a publication party at a hotel in Ginza, half as a joke and half in earnest.
Although it is called a photo book, it is a very text-heavy collection of photographs, with each person presenting a photograph and a text that speaks for itself in accordance with the theme. It has been a number of years since its publication, but we are very happy to see that new dam enthusiasts are still picking up the book. He is the manager of "Hydro.com," a privately operated website that introduces hydroelectric power plants and dams related to hydroelectric power generation in various regions. In addition to his book "Hydro.com" (Ohmsha, Inc.), he regularly publishes articles in "Monthly Dam Japan" (Japan Dam Association). Shin Jinma
Dam enthusiast based mainly in the Chubu region. He is the administrator of "Dammedia," a website that aims to be an encyclopedia of dams. Appears on talk shows at the Japan Society of Civil Engineers and the Japan Dam Engineering Association, and on TV programs in the Chubu region. Organizes "Gatherings with Dam Lovers" with the Chubu Branch of the Japan Water Agency. Dam mania & dam writer. He is the manager of the website "Dam Mania. He has given lectures sponsored by the Japan Dam Engineering Association and the Japan Dam Association, served as a judge for photo contests, and made numerous appearances on TV and radio. He is also known as the inventor of dam curry. He is the author of "Dam Card Compendium" (Small Publication) and "Dam Mania" (Ohmsha), as well as a regular column in "Monthly Dam Japan" (Japan Dam Association) and other publications. He is the fifth generation head of the dam business department of the long-established kappo restaurant "Kappo Sanshu-ke. Dam prince and dam tourism producer. Administrator of the dam-related website "DamJapan. He has been interested in dams since he was a junior high school student. With a past as a visual-kei vocalist, he is also called "Dam Prince" because of his appearance. Currently, after appearing on TV and in magazines, he guides and produces dam tours in various regions.
