Nagashima Reservoir is a dam that you can see only if you ride Minami-Alps Aputo-line of Oigawa river railroad. But there are seats for river side and mountain side, so it is best to sit on the seat for river side. I was on the mountain side both on the way out and on the way back.... The best choice is to go outside of the holiday season.

At this time, the water level was almost always near full, so the area was almost completely submerged.

Nagashima Dam has a planned sediment capacity of 10,000,000m of sediment volume.3/The dam was planned to be built over a period of 100 years, but as the name implies, it was built only to store sand, since it was considered to have more sand than expected based on the actual sand deposits in the existing dam upstream. It was also built using the CSG method. In recent years, the CSG method has been increasingly used for temporary embankments, but this is the first permanent structure in Japan to be constructed using the CSG method. ...This photo is the return trip. The photo shows the return trip.
