In many ways, I'm sorry if I got your hopes up! The Kawaura Kurambe Dam is located upstream of the Kami-Osu Dam. The dam lake formed by the Kawaura Dam and this dam together is the upper regulating reservoir (Upper Pond), and the dam lake formed by the Kami-Osu Dam is the lower regulating reservoir (Lower Pond), and pumped storage power is generated between them. The effective drop-off is said to be as high as 486 meters.

The 2009 event was held at Yokoyama Dam and Maruyama Dam. At the Maruyama Dam, visitors could not only tour the inside of the embankment, but also go up to the "Gate Pier" at the top of the embankment from the elevator on the first floor, and enjoy a panoramic view from there. Unfortunately, the weather was unfavorable on the day of the event, but due to the rain that had fallen the day before, it was a miraculous event to be able to see the powerful discharge of water from the dam.
