There are only a few days left of 2017. And there are only a few days left of the Heisei Era. I would like to look back at the dams visited this year and in 2017.

We headed to Nagano for the Asakawa Dam test discharge. And via the snowy Awa Pass.
Next was the Mizudono Dam. I had planned to go through there someday, but the humanitarian tunnel on the left bank was closed due to the danger of collapse, and I didn't know it was possible to see it from downstream, so I wanted to go through it again.
Naturally, we also visited the Inakaku Dam. I heard that you can get to the bridge on the old road, but I was quite fed up with the traffic. We gave up on this day as well.
On this day, my son saw the Ozato River Dam on "Tabishite Gomen," a program that Udo Suzuki watches every week without fail, and he wanted to visit the dam, so we went on a tour around the area.
On this day, we went to the sightseeing discharge at Tokuyama Dam. I have been watching it rather consistently, but it is still nice to see the discharge.
Participated in a tour of the Nagara River estuary weir. The director of the Tokuyama Dam, who was the director of the Nagara River estuary weir at that time, is now the director of the Nagara River estuary weir, and we met him for the first time in a long time. I also met a person from the facility who helped us at the first meeting with dam enthusiasts held at the Agigawa Dam.
The 8th Gathering with Dam Lovers will be held at the Iwaya Dam, so I visited the Maze River No. 2 Dam on my way there. I am very happy to see that many newcomers have recently joined the event and that a variety of people are participating.
On this day, I participated in a seasonal event to familiarize myself with forests and lakes at the Tedorigawa Dam to create memories of my summer vacation. On the way there, we stopped by the Kuzuryu Dam.
After a short break from summer, I went to the Agigawa Dam on my way to Ena to eat chestnut kinton (sweetened chestnuts with sweetened red beans). We also stopped by Oi Dam and Maruyama Dam.
I wanted to visit the dams on the Oigawa River for the first time in a while, so my son and I took a men's trip to the Oima Dam first. I had heard that there was heavy traffic to cross the suspension bridge, so we crossed it first thing in the morning.
The Kosato River Dam is illuminated. Only the upstream side of the dam is illuminated, but since it is usually pitch-dark, I thought this was a good idea. However, if possible, I would like to see the downstream side illuminated as well.
I feel that the number of new dams I visit is decreasing every year, but I would like to continue to encounter many new dams in the future. Of course, it is interesting to see new faces of the dams we have already visited when we visit them in different seasons, so I hope we can mix and match our visits.
