■Date: June 1, 2013 (Saturday) 12:00 Registration, 12:30 Start
Meeting place: Uren Dam (Kawai, Shinshiro City, Aichi Prefecture)
Contents: Tour of Uren Dam + presentation by officials of the Japan Water Agency + tour of Oshima Dam
Due to time constraints, there will be no presentation from the enthusiast side this time.
■Participation quota: 20 applicants
■ Lines:
12:00- Registration (Uren Dam Water Management Station)
12:30- Explanation of precautions in the administration office
12:45- Tour of Uren Dam (dam embankment, gate room, operation room, downstream of the dam (water discharge outlet), etc.)
Please follow the instructions of the staff regarding photography.
14:00- Presentation by Water Agency staff
15:30- Move to Oshima Dam
16:10～ Visit Oshima Dam (from the top edge only)
16:40- Closing (local dismissal)
*There will be no lunch this time, so please make sure to bring your own lunch beforehand.
How to apply for participation
Please enter your name (handle name is fine) and e-mail address in the comment box at the bottom of the page by Thursday, May 23. Please note that we cannot accept applications via Twitter or Facebook.
Other Notices
Please wear sneakers or other footwear that is easy to walk in as there will be a visit to the dam. Please note that the tour may be postponed or cancelled in case of flooding due to heavy rain. In that case, information will be posted on this page.
