Dam -Kiso River and Hida River- Exhibition

One of the familiar sights along the Kiso and Hida Rivers is a dam. Since the Taisho and Showa eras, dams have been actively built to store abundant water and play a role in flood control, water utilization, and power generation. In addition, they have also been used as recreational and tourist resources, and their designs and landscapes have attracted attention and been considered artistic motifs.

This exhibition will focus on dams, which have had a significant impact on the natural environment, industry, and people's lives, from the perspective of the region, its people, history, and culture.
