A photo exhibition titled "Waterworks Photo Exhibition: Reservoirs - 90th Anniversary of Murayama-Shita Reservoir & 60th Anniversary of Ogawachi Dam" will be held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Waterworks History Museum to review the history of the reservoirs that support the Tokyo waterworks system through photo panels. In addition, the "Ogawachi Dam Special" documentary film screening, which has been shown several times and has been well received, will be shown again.
The Murayama (Upper and Lower) Reservoirs were completed in 1927, the Yamaguchi Reservoir in 1934, and the Ogouchi Dam in 1957. The construction of these dams and reservoirs was a major project for the Tokyo water supply system.
Dam enthusiasts, not just Tokyoites, are encouraged to visit the photo exhibition.
