Imaichi Dam is owned by the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) and serves as a lower reservoir for pure pumped-storage power generation between it and the Kuriyama Dam (0578-Kuriyama Dam), which serves as the upper reservoir. The embankment gives a slender impression, and has an air of a dam that one would not expect from a dam dedicated to power generation. The atmosphere is quiet. No one is around, and no one comes. January 2003: Sudden New Year's Day dam tour in Nagano (Minowa Dam - Azusa River 3 dams)

November 2002 Okuhida Dam Tour (Iwaya Dam - Takane No. 1 Dam)

There are so many dams in the Takayama area. In addition, you may discover dams that you did not know existed even though you researched them beforehand, such as the Nishimura Dam and the Kugano Dam. This area may be very nice to visit in autumn or winter. The area around Iwaya Dam in particular is a great place to enjoy the autumn leaves, and the dam in winter is also a great place to visit, as the area gets a lot of snow in winter. After playing at the ski resort, it might be a good idea to visit the dam.

2002.09 Dam tour day 1 (Mimogi Dam - Sakai River Dam - Tori Dam)

The so-called "Shogawa Dam Group" is full of dams that are worth seeing, but many of them do not allow access to the tops of the dams, making the coverage extremely difficult. The 2009 event was held at Yokoyama Dam and Maruyama Dam. At the Maruyama Dam, visitors could not only tour the inside of the embankment, but also go up to the "Gate Pier" at the top of the embankment from the elevator on the first floor, and enjoy a panoramic view from there. Unfortunately, the weather was unfavorable on the day of the event, but due to the rain that had fallen the day before, it was a miraculous event to be able to see the powerful discharge of water from the dam.
