The name of this dammed lake was solicited from a local elementary school in Sakurai City, and it is called "Mahoroba Lake. Perhaps if I were a snot-nosed elementary school student, I would not have thought of it.

Access to D@M | Take Meihan National Highway (R25) and get off at Hari IC. Heading south on Route 369 Drive 10 km and turn right at the Fukuchi intersection with Route 165. Turn right at the Hatsuse intersection and follow the river upstream, but due to the Hase Temple, it is likely to be crowded during the tourist season, so it may be better to turn just before that point. |
Other facilities/observations
Since there are so many old and famous temples nearby, I think it would be a much more wonderful dam if they were more integrated....
