The moment I picked up the book, I had the impression that it would be a worthwhile read with more pages than I had expected. Perhaps because the subtitle of the book is "An Introductory Guide to Traveling by Dam," the Kurobe Dam (Toyama) is placed on the cover because it is the most prominent dam in Japan.
As for the page structure, model courses across the country were written, and we felt a crisis in the continuation of the "Driving Courses" category, which was neglected to be updated on this site.
The articles are written from the perspective of dam enthusiasts who have mastered the art of touring dams, with Mr. Hagiwara, a dam writer and the book's supervisor, at the top of the list, and other well-known enthusiasts such as Kaiyu, Carbon, Yuhyo-kun, Nao, Miyajima, Yozaku, and Ryukun. I like the fact that the book is written from the viewpoint of a dam enthusiast who has mastered the art of dam touring.
I was also impressed by the fact that the course introduction did not just focus on dams, but also included information on tourist attractions and gourmet foods other than dam curry, not to mention dam attractions. Since dams are often located in mountainous and underpopulated areas, it is better for the local community to lose some money when visiting the area, so I was glad to see this kind of introduction.
Although the book is called "introductory" in terms of content, it is a book that should be seen by all kinds of people, not just beginners....
