Location: Kasuga, Ibigawa-cho, Ibi-gun, Gifu Prefecture
View of the embankment from downstream on the right bank
It is a very old looking dam. According to the dam handbook, it was completed in 1919. In Japanese calendar, it was completed in 1919. The year of the Treaty of Versailles.
So, this dam is about a 10 minute drive from my wife's parents' house, and if I wanted to go there, I could go every time she goes back home, but unfortunately, I have not been there every time, lol.
View of the reduction work from the right bank
It may not be called abatement work.
View of the top edge from the right bank
As is typical of Chuden, the top end is off-limits. However, the fence is a simple structure, so it is easy to break through. But you must not enter.
View of anglers from the right bank
The first angler is found (in the style of Mr. Tokoro's program). What can he catch?
View of the dam lake and embankment from upstream on the right bank
It does not look like a dam lake, but it is. It is a dam lake, but it is a dam lake. It can no longer be called a dam lake.
power generation equipment
It would be a power generation facility, or perhaps a water intake.
Water intake for power generation
You can see what looks like a screen on the other side. It is an intake as small as the size of the dike.
View of the reduction work from the right bank
If it continues to flow downstream, it will join the Kasugawa River, which in turn will join the Ibigawa River.
View of the downstream bank from the right bank
It is slightly curved, and for a moment I thought it was an arch? I thought it was a gravity type, but I was told that it was a gravity type.
View of the dam lake from the right bank
It is not a river. It is a magnificent dammed lake.

There is no parking lot, but if you go upstream, there is a slightly wider area where you can park. It is not for a date, but could be used for fishing. It is good for a fishing date. If you like old prewar architecture, it is also OK.
