It has been quite a while since the 3rd Gathering with Dam Lovers held at the Nakasato Dam, but we have decided to hold the 4th Gathering on Saturday, March 14!
The location is again the Mie Irrigation Canal! The event will be held at Miyagawa Regulating Pond (1324-Miyagawa Choseichi) and Kasato Regulating Pond (1326-Kasato Choseichi), which play an important role in this project.
As you may know if you have visited both dams, entry to the embankment is usually prohibited. This time, however, visitors will be able to see them from the spillway and the top road!
We look forward to your participation!
Kamima will not participate from this time onwards, but will visit the site beforehand. We hope this page will give you an idea of what it is like there.

I went to the preview! (Added on 2/26)
I went for a preliminary inspection on Wednesday, Feb. 25, and I seriously recommend this visit as well. The earth dam may look unassuming, but we were also able to hear stories that you can only hear at the site.
Meeting place for the 4th Gathering with Dam Lovers
First, as for the meeting place, drive west (toward Gozaisho and Yunoyama) from the Yokkaichi IC on National Route 477, and you will see a signboard "Independent Administrative Institution Water Resources Organization Mie Irrigation Management Office" near Ohanezono Station on the Kintetsu Yunoyama Line.
After that, just keep driving straight. You will see the dike on your right, but if you go directly under the dike, you will not be able to reach the control center. If you want to go to the control center, you will see the sign in the photo.leftTurn right and go straight.
In a certain place of Miyagawa regulating pond
After meeting at the Mie Water Management Station, we will move to the Miyagawa Regulating Pond. (Mosaic is shown in the picture, but it is just for your amusement at the site.)
A view of the Miyagawa Regulating Pond
This is a view taken from a place that is usually inaccessible. Mosaic is used just in case you are imaginative lovers.
lunch
Lunch was at a restaurant called "Tororo-meshi (yam rice) and yam dishes at Chacha. I forgot to take a picture of the exterior of the restaurant, but you can take a look at it on Google's Stubiew (lazy).
Part of the lunch menu
The cheapest is the "Tororomeshi" for 980 yen (excluding tax), and the most expensive is 5,000 yen, but I chose the "Tororo Gozen Masashi" for 1,400 yen. Even so, it is quite filling. You can have another serving of rice!
On the main channel from Komono Regulating Pond to Kasato Regulating Pond
Here's what I personally found interesting! After lunch, we're heading to the Kasato Regulating Pond, and we'll be driving over the main canal, although only partially. There are concrete structures standing in some places, so please pay attention and take a look.
Inside a certain place in Kasato Regulating Pond
At the Kasato Adjustment Pond, you can see such a place...and I'm making a mosaic...but you can see a place where you can't usually go in.
Safety belt!
There is a further ladder to go down, but I put on a safety belt just to be safe. I put it on for the first time in my life. The management office staff will carefully teach you how to put it on, so first-timers don't need to worry.
Kasato Regulating Pond
And you can see such a nice thing. Oh, of course, this place is also mosaiced as it is just for your enjoyment until the day of the event.
View of the levee from the bridge downstream
This picture was not taken during the preview, but I had always thought this was the levee, but actually it is not. Please ask what it actually is at the site on the day!
Mie Water Supply Management Station
From Kasato Regulating Pond, we return to the Mie Water Management Station in Komono Regulating Pond. And here is a certain facility in the Mie Irrigation Control Center. This is also mosaiced for your viewing pleasure at the site. Incidentally, among the Mie Irrigation reservoirs, for some reason, only the Komono Regulating Pond does not have a water intake tower. Why is that?
Mie Water Management Office Meeting Room
The second floor of the building, which is separate from the main administration office building, is used as a conference room, so that is where the presentations and exchange of ideas will be held.
The Japan Water Agency is scheduled to make a presentation on the measures to be taken at the Makio Dam following the eruption of Mt. (I personally wanted to hear it...)
The above is a partial list of the contents of the tours, but the above information may be subject to change depending on conditions on the day of the tour. Please understand that the above information may be subject to change depending on the situation on the day of the tour.

>Dear participants
The gathering is finally coming up over the weekend, and we apologize for one thing.
It is a place to eat, but it turns out that they do not accept reservations.
The restaurant itself is said to have a fast turnover rate, so there will likely be no wait, but we plan to move early and have the guests take their seats in order from the first available one.
Please understand in advance that this may push time back. Sorry for the lack of confirmation...
