I visited this dam after I went to "Lake Biwa Wan Wan Kingdom" because it was going to be closed. It is a very old-fashioned dam, just like Kyoto.

The Amagase Power Plant, located on the left bank just below the dike, has a maximum output of 92,000 kilowatts.

Other facilities/observations
Byodoin Temple is very close by, so it is a good idea to visit there as well. By the way, there is "Kisensenyama Dam" nearby, but unfortunately, you cannot enter.
