We have only a few days left in 2016. I would like to take a moment to reflect on this year.

2016/1/1

At the beginning of the year, I made a quick tour of Fukui's dams with my son as my "first visit to a dam.

The first shot was to Narushika weir.

For my first dam in about three months, I went to Miyoshi Pond while visiting Toyota on business.

It's a restroom break! Well, it's not a tour of the # dam by mistake!

On my birthday, I took a drive to Ono Headworks on the way to Toyokawa Miniature World Cafe and Toyokawa Inari Shrine.

I was hoping for cherry blossoms but not much bloomed... #dam #dam

I also went to Nagashino weir, one of the three most beautiful weirs in Japan, although I was U15.

I don't care how many times I come here.

On Children's Day of Golden Week, we went to Fukui again. And then to Ishikawa.

First, as at the beginning of the year, we went to Narushika weir.

At the Jodoji River Dam, I received a permit to enter the forest.

Then, for the first time in more than ten years, the Tedorigawa Dam. We used to be able to go up to the top of the dam, but it is now off-limits due to falling rocks. The store and the exhibition hall are gone, and it has become completely deserted.

I cooperated with Asahi Shimbun for the paper. As a side note, I moved to a new house after this, and at that time, I made procedures with the post office so that my handle would be delivered to my new house.

2016/6/11

In addition, the Nikkei Shimbun also cooperated with the paper.

2016/7/31

An event for the TV show I love, "Tabishite Gomen" was held at Centrair, and since Udo Suzuki-san gets a dam card every time a dam appears on the show and there were glimpses of his dam-loving side, I showed him the dam cards I had collected during the handshake session and appealed that I was a dam meister or something like that, which made no sense.

2016/8/13

I stopped by Daimon Dam on my way to Yamanashi for peach picking with my family.

2016/10/15

Took my son on a tour of the Hida River dams.

The first is the Hosotani Dam.

Kamiasao Dam. I had always passed by this area, but this was the first time I saw it properly.

Nanamune Dam (U15).

Shimobara Dam.

Kashimo disaster prevention dam. It was quite a nice dam with moss.

The last one is Oi Dam seen from Shinonome Bridge. I have been to Oi Dam several times, but the view was quite spectacular.

This day was actually the first time I saw a bronze statue of Momosuke.

2016/10/23

I went on a tour of a dam in Nara to bait my son with Pokemon Go.

First is Hongo Tameike, a pond associated with Matabei Goto.

Because of the Ibigawa Marathon, we cut Kuse Dam and went to Yokoyama Dam.

And the stable Tokuyama Dam.

2016/12/3

The day was a symposium commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Maruyama Dam. I even gave a presentation on dam tourism as a commemorative lecture.

Well, in 2016, we visited a total of 33 dams (including U15), 24 of which were new (including U15). I am very much looking forward to seeing what new dams I will be able to visit in 2017.
