Kawaura Dam under excavation (H2.6)
Kawaura Dam is located upstream of Kami-osu Dam (1125- Kami-osu Dam/Kamiosu Dam).saddle dam(The upper regulating reservoir (Upper Pond) is formed by this dam and the dam lake formed by the Kami-Osu Dam (Lower Pond), and pumped storage power is generated between the two dams. The effective drop-off is said to be as high as 486 meters.
Incidentally, one of the features of Kawaura Dam is that it is read as "Kaore-damu" instead of "Kawaura-damu". But more than that, the biggest feature is....
Concrete pouring at Kawaura Dam (H4.4)
Incidentally, these photos are photo panels installed at the dam site of the Kamioosu Dam. Kawaura Dam, like Kawaura Kurambe Dam, is not accessible by private vehicles. Although it has not been confirmed yet, the road to Kawaura Dam seems to be in a dangerous state due to heavy rains, so it is not open to the public. Even among dam enthusiasts, Kawaura Dam and Kawaura Kurambe Dam have long been "phantom dams" because no one has seen them. I would very much like Chubu Electric Power Company to allow us to visit these dams.... Personally, I like arch dams, so I would like to see them in person.
Concrete pouring at Kawaura Dam (H4.11)
These photo panels show the process from excavation to pouring to completion. It seems to show how the project is growing rapidly.
From upstream of Kawaura Dam (H5.9)
It doesn't look like an arch in this photo panel, but it appears to be a very gentle arch in aerial photos taken by Google Maps and other means. Kawaura Dam, which I have not seen yet. I would like to visit there someday...

I think I saw some information on some web site that there is a parking lot and restrooms. I would like to make sure that is included and see for myself. Please! Dear Chubu Electric Power Company, ON!

Comment
You can walk there, but it takes 2.5 hours.
I went as far as the Kurambe Dam, and saw the main body from the Hinaga direction, but only glimpsed it.

Eh? How did you get there?
