Did the test release of water while also providing flood control lead to the award?
Low Water Management Award
(Which dam had the most impressive low water management (replenishment of water use)?
single-track dam(Hyogo Prefecture, Japan Water Agency)
Did the award come about because of the difficulty of managing the increasing demand for water as the city has become a bedroom community?
Event Awards

small irrigation dam(Nagano Prefecture, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism)
The event was the third time in two consecutive years that the company received the event award.
Flood Control Award
(Which dam has had the most impressive battles with heavy rains?)
13 dams managed by Saga Prefecture(Saga Prefecture)
Did the award winners win because of their careful preparation for flood control despite severe flood control conditions?
2021 Dam Grand Prize
(What dam was the most memorable in people's minds this year?)
Maruyama Dam(Gifu Prefecture, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism)
Although destined to be succeeded by the new Maruyama Dam, the award was given to the Maruyama Dam, which may have been the last flood control dam due to the heavy rains during the August Obon Festival.
Congratulations to each of the winning dams!
We would like to thank Mr. Hagiwara, the organizer, and all the other presenters, the backyard tabulators, and the selection committee for their hard work & efforts.
