View of the embankment from the left bank
Returning to Route 156 from Sakaimigawa Dam and heading north, you will find the roadside station "Kamidaira," and right next to it is this Akao Dam. Some people refer to it as "Akao Dam," so it is unclear which is correct.
Because the dam is fenced, we could not enter the embankment, and this is the only good angle shot I was able to get. Moreover, the roadside station used to be a drive-in station, but it was just conveniently converted to a roadside station...it was quite old...no, it was a facility that made us feel the history.

The parking lot and restrooms are at the adjacent roadside station. Please note that they are not attached to the dam itself. The smaller the dam is, the tighter the gate is closed.
