The open house of Umagajo Dam (1204-Umagajo Dam), which has become an annual event, will be held on June 3 (Sun.) again this year.
The dam is open to the public as one of the waterworks facilities by Seto City on the occasion of "Waterworks Week," which is "a week to increase public understanding and interest in waterworks, improve public health, and improve the living environment" (source: Wikipedia).
Most of these waterworks facilities are not usually open to the public for sanitation reasons, but this is a great opportunity to learn about waterworks, and we encourage you to attend.
Also, as we reported last year, the Magajo Dam will not only open its embankment to the public, but will also allow visitors to see the dam being discharged. According to what I have heard, the reservoir is adjusted to the most beautiful level for the release of water for this day, and the water is released in time for the open-house day. We hope you will come and see this once-a-year event.
